In this unit, students will delve into the dynamic intersection of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and
Software Engineering, with a special emphasis on the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in modern business.
Students will explore how enterprise-wide systems are designed and implemented, learning to strategically
integrate AI technologies to optimise business operations.

By the end of the subject, they will be able to critically evaluate advanced AI techniques, align IT infrastructure
with business goals, and apply AI-driven solutions to enhance decision-making and streamline processes
across organisations.

The unit is aligned with the following course learning outcome (CLO):
• CLO3: Critically evaluate and apply advanced techniques in business process reengineering (BPR),
software engineering, and enterprise architecture to optimise business operations and decision-making.
