This unit introduces students to the core tools and strategies of cloud computing for effective data management and analytics. Students will explore how cloud platforms can store, process, and analyse vast datasets, enabling scalable insights for impactful business decisions.

Through hands-on learning, they will engage with cloud storage, distributed systems, and scalable analytics, building specialised skills to address complex business challenges.

By the end of the unit, students will be equipped to recommend and implement cloud-based solutions, preparing them to drive data-informed strategies in diverse business environments.

The unit is aligned with the following course learning outcome (CLO):

• CLO5: Develop specialised skills and knowledge in a chosen area of business analytics through completion of specialisation units and a Research Project.
