In this capstone unit, students work in small teams on a real-world project in collaboration with industry partners involving 100 to 120 hours of work placement, applying business analytics techniques to solve a significant business problem.

The unit emphasises the application of theoretical knowledge in a practical context, providing students with industry experience and enhancing employability. Delivery of the Unit will be carried out in partnership with ReadyGrad – a partner organisation that will assist with the students’ industry placements.

ReadyGrad is an established Graduate Employability specialist organisation that will assist in ensuring that all the students are successful in obtaining an industry placement that is tailored to their career & learning goals and objectives within the Business Analytics domain.

The unit is aligned with the following course learning outcome (CLO):

• CLO5: Develop specialised skills and knowledge in a chosen area of business analytics through completion of specialisation units and a Research Project.
• CLO8: Engage in real-world application of business analytics concepts and techniques through a Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Capstone Project, demonstrating independent research, problem-solving, and project management skills.
